With great sadness we said goodbye to our Summer. She was our first home-bred champion. From her first show to her last she never put a foot wrong. We are immensely proud of her and everything she leaves behind, the many successful descendants running throughout Europe. We can only be grateful for the wonderful times we have had. We will miss her...
Summer
Our little Summer, sunny by nature as her name suggests. After much deliberation as to which lady could stay out of Meagan's nest, we chose her. Two jet-black monkey eyes kept looking at us enchantingly and little by little they sawed the legs out from under our chairs, all doubts disappeared and we merged that wonderfully beautiful girl with a real lady in the making.
And this is what we knew...
As a puppy she was different from her mother in almost everything, her appearance, character and temperament. Where Meagan was a dream of a puppy, Summer could be a dragon. While Meagan never did anything bad, Summer, together with her stepsister Madison, had elevated mischief to an art. But every time she looked at us again and we forgot all the things they had done because that is of course also part of those naughty puppy pranks, it is not without reason that they say "half angel, half devil...". But she can listen very well, while Meagan occasionally seems to think it doesn't have to be so fast, Summer with her shiny black monkeyeyes is right next to you, after just one whistle. That is very nice for the owners. Now that she is older, she has developed into a true show diva, the more attention the better, she enjoys every second in the ring and is happy to put her best foot forward when we step through the ring together. As a mother we now see a very caring and careful side of her, her offspring means everything to her! From naughty little girl to a wonderfully sweet mother... |
